BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) Nick Garth scored 28 points as Lamar romped past Houston Baptist 110-75 on Wednesday night. Davion Buster added 20 points for the Cardinals.
Garth shot 7 for 10 on 3-pointers. He added seven assists.
Jordan Hunter had 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Lamar (17-12, 10-6 Southland Conference), which earned its sixth straight win. Christian Barrett added 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Lamar is undefeated (4-0) when scoring at least 100 points this season.
Lamar posted a season-high 17 3-pointers.
Ty Dalton had 20 points for the Huskies (10-16, 6-9). Edward Hardt added 11 points. Jackson Stent had 10 points and three blocks.
The Cardinals evened the season series against the Huskies with the win. Houston Baptist defeated Lamar 88-82 on Jan. 2. Lamar matches up against Stephen F. Austin at home on Saturday. Houston Baptist faces McNeese State at home on Saturday.
