MACOMB, Ill. (AP) Parker Stewart notched career highs with 32 points and 11 rebounds and UT Martin came from behind to beat Western Illinois 98-91 on Wednesday night.
Quintin Dove scored 20 points and Derek Hawthorne added 17 with eight rebounds for the Skyhawks (2-1). The Skyhawks overcame a 15-point second-half deficit and Hawthorne's go-ahead jumper with 7:18 left to play put them on top 78-76. Stewart scored 12 straight and UT Martin won going away.
Kobe Webster scored a career-high 30 points with four 3-pointers and surpassed 1,000 career points for the Leathernecks (0-3). Ben Pyle added 18 points, Zion Young had 15, and Jaeden King and James Claar scored 13 apiece.
UT Martin next plays at Wichita State on Saturday and Western Illinois takes on Northern Illinois at home next Wednesday.
