Doege's 2 TDs rally Bowling Green to a 21-6 win over Akron
Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:37 PM

AKRON, Ohio (AP) Jarret Doege threw for two touchdowns and Rico Frye ran for a third as Bowling Green won its second straight road game, knocking off Akron 21-6 on Saturday.

Nick Gasser kicked field goals from 38- and 32-yards out to put Akron in front, 6-0 late in the second quarter, but Doege drive Bowling Green 80 yard in 10 plays to end the half, hitting Dorian Hendrix from 7-yards out to take a 7-6 lead.

Frye added a 5-yard run for a touchdown late in the third quarter and Doege added an 8-yard scoring pass to Quintin Morris late.

Doege was 19 of 27 for 178 yards passing and Andrew Clair carried 12 times for 112 yards for the Falcons (3-8, 2-5 Mid-American Conference).
