Connecticut coach Randy Edsall said Sunday that Beaudry (shoulder) could be ready to play in the Huskies' Week 6 game against South Florida, Alex Putterman of the Hartford Courant reports. "He's hurt. He got hurt in the Wagner game [in Week 1]. That's why he didn't play. I think he'll finally be cleared this week," Edsall said of the quarterback.
Krajewski entered the contest Saturday in relief of starting quarterback Jack Zergiotis in Connecticut's 56-21 loss to Central Florida, completing 22 of 33 attempts for 273 yards, three touchdowns and an interception to go with 26 rushing yards.
Zergiotis, who completed just one of his three pass attempts for eight yards and an interception before being benched, has lost his starting job to Steve Krajewski, Neill Ostrout of the Journal Inquirer reports.
Beaudry is the favorite to win the starting job for Connecticut but coach Randy Edsall has yet to officially make the announcement, Alex Putterman of the Hartford Courant reports. "It might go until kickoff [of the season-opener]," Edsall said.
Pindell completed 20 of 27 pass attempts for 308 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in a 56-49 win over Rhode Island on Saturday. On the ground, he took 26 carries for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
