EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) Junior Robinson scored 24 points, Jonah Antonio added 19 and Mount St. Mary's held off LIU Brooklyn 86-80 on Thursday night.
Greg Alexander added 19 points and Donald Carey had 13 for the Mountaineers (11-11, 5-4 Northeast Conference).
Joel Hernandez had a career-high 29 points for the Blackbirds (9-13, 4-5) and Raiquan Clark had 15 with 12 rebounds.
LIU Brooklyn trailed by 12 after an Alexander dunk with six minutes to go but pulled within two on a Jamall Robinson 3-pointer with 37 seconds to play. However, Junior Robinson made two free throws with 19 to go and after two for the Blackbirds, Robinson and Antonio each made a pair from the line in the last 10 seconds.
Antonio and Alexander hit four 3s apiece and the Mountaineers were 13 of 21 behind the line (62 percent) and shot 54 percent (28 of 52) overall. LIU Brooklyn was 9 of 23 on 3s and shot 41 percent (24 of 58).
